English Speech on Drugs and the effects Hello my name is Keri and I'm here today to talk to you about drugs and their effects. I will also be talking about the law of drugs and consequences. Every year about 40,000 people in the UK are arrested for drug offences. About 38,000 of these get caught with a small amount of cannabis, a 'tab' or two, or a couple of E's. Depending on the class of drug they are caught with and amongst other things, what they plan to do with it depends on the consequences they receive. The law divides drugs into 3 classes - A, B and C, with class A drugs carrying the heaviest penalties. Class A - includes ecstasy, acid, cocaine, heroin and methadone, mushrooms if they are prepared and speed if it's prepared for injection.
