Nicola Armstrong Diary Tuesday 23rd July After careful consideration over the past few days, I have finally chosen the topic that I wish to investigate for my Study. I have decided to explore: "Why is childhood becoming shorter and shorter for girls in today's society?" In this Study I want to explore the nature of the 'tweenager' (9-11 year old girls who behave, as though they were teenagers) The reason I have decided to investigate this subject is because on a recent shopping trip in Tammy girl a clothes shop aimed at 7-13 year olds, which I used to shop in when I was younger, I noticed that un like the clothes which I brought from their, the clothes were now more mature I.e. the clothes were the smaller versions of clothes in a adult shop such as Topshop or Miss Selfridge.
