Conservatism as a Ruling-Class Ideology There are many political ideologies in the world, and all of them have their strengths and weaknesses, although some do not concede to the fact the have weaknesses. This is such the case with conservatism, which defends economic inequality and justifies the ruling class taking care of the poor. But in defending these, they state that conservatism can help the poor, and are a party for all. Whether they can be more than just a vehicle for the ruling class to solidify their power, or a serious ideology which can help all concerned is what I intend to find out. Conservative ideas first appeared in the late eighteenth century, and this was mainly in reaction to the bloody revolution in France.
