Between Two Worlds was a documentary released in 1991 about the most famous Inuit in the World, Joseph Idlout. This film took place in the northern parts of Canada. Idlout received most of his recognition and his fame from appearing in a movie in 1951 by Doug Wilkinson called Land of the Long Day. Idlout also appeared on the picture on the back of the Canadian two dollar bill as a tribute to him as well as the Inuit's natural way of life. This film took place during the 1950's. It was a biography narrative about Joseph; however it also showed the history of the Inuit people. Before the white people interacted with the Inuit; they were an independent race relying on only themselves and nature for any help. They were a nomadic hunting society.
