... RE Coursework: Part 3 'It is meaningless to pray the Lord's Prayer, the same words, at every Sunday service' Do you agree? I disagree with this statement, as this prayer is a pattern prayer. This means it contains all the important things Christians pray about - Adoration (Hallowed be Thy name...), Supplication (Give us this day our daily bread...) and Confession (Forgive us our trespasses...). The Lord's Prayer is also special because it unites Christians of different backgrounds, and, furthermore, the source of the main points of the Christian faith are outlined in the Lord's Prayer (to forgive e.t.c). This makes it a very meaningful prayer, and one that I think demonstrates Christian's faith, hence I think that Christians should pray the Lord's Prayer every Sunday at church. When most Christians' say the Lord's Prayer, they truly feel what they are reading. Also, this is an organised, set way of prayer, which
