Some people chose to leave a normal life, to have a family, go to work everyday for example, she may be a doctor or he might be a caretaker so, he would go to a school and to do his job. As I said everyone of us have our own vocation. Some people do dedicate their life forever to God, to serve Him and to serve others. They give up everything to live out their vocation. Nuns, monks, priests and other religious and holy orders take the three evangelical counsels, which are the poverty, chastity, and obedience. They take these vows forever with them. Some people say that God do communicates with them indirectly through natural disasters, situations, historical events, or visions.
