In a discussion about racism Christians will often refer to the bible and the teachings of Jesus: They may refer to the laws of Moses: 'Do not ill-treat foreigners living in your land. Treat them as you would a fellow Israelite' (Leviticus 19:33-34) This is saying if a person not from your country you should treat them the same as some one who is. Christians would say that this tells us everyone should be treated equally even if they do not come from your country. 'Do not deprive foreigners of their rights...remember that you were once foreigners in Egypt' (Deuteronomy 24:17) In modern day life Christians would refer to this as saying when someone from another country comes to yours treat them like everyone else. We are all foreigners when we go to other countries and we except to
