Sexism is the attitude that one sex is in some way better than the other- mostly that men are better than women. Christians are in a way supporting this issue. It is reflected clearly in the Bible. For example, in the Old Testament, it says how a man could divorce his wife if desired but there is nothing mentioned about a woman allowed to divorce her husband. It also indicates that an unmarried woman is her father's "property" and a married one is her husband's. It says that if a man rapes an unmarried woman, he has to pay her father a compensation and has to marry her. The woman does not get a choice in this matter.
