... PREJUDICE AND DISCRIMINATION Prejudice When you pre-judge someone before knowing the full facts about that person. E.g. If you believe that men are more able than females to perform a task. Discrimination When you put into action your prejudgments. E.g. you wont give a female a job and would prefer to give it to a male because you think he is more able. There are many causes of prejudice. Here are some examples of where this originates: 1. Family 2. Friends 3. Media 4. Influential Adults 5. Governments 6. From experiences I believe that if people took more care to hold their prejudices to themselves then prejudice would soon fall. As people tell others their believes the people sub-consciously pick up these prejudices and this is where the problem stems from. I think that people should be more careful with spreading their prejudices especially in front of impressionable people. This should help the problem of prejudices in the world and make it
