... Nature or Nurture, which affects Racism more? Sectors of society grow up in various cultures. What they experience and the manner in which they are nurtured determines how they behave and think. For example the actions of the controversial goalkeeper Mark Bosnich, who had been involved in a long running barney with Tottenham Hotspur fans about a clash between himself and their striker Jurgen Klinsmann. He repaid the Spurs taunts with a Nazi salute. Football associations realised that spurs is historically associated with Jewish supporters; and British tabloids even took a step further, hinting that Bosnich's Croatian roots might explain his alleged fascism. The Jewish community would see this as a serious matter whereas Bosnich himself was bemused. He explained he was impersonating the TV sitcom character Basil Fawlty; hence stating his nature had only humorous intensions. This is a demonstration of how a taunt such as Bosnich's salute created
