Explain why religious people have a problem with transplant surgery Transplants are the use of people's organs to surgically implant them into another person, as this person may have malfunctioned or diseased organs. There are two different types of transplants. One is that the donor is still living and they donate organs or parts of their body, which they can live without. For example, someone may donate a kidney to a family member or they could donate bone marrow. The other type is when the donor has died and they carry a donor card or their loved ones agree for organ donation. The donor can then give any part of their body from heart to eye corneas.
