Explain What Christians believe about their responsibility for other people Christians believe that they have a responsibility for other people; many refer to the Old and New Testaments in the bible to help them understand what their responsibilities are. In the Old Testament, Christians can use scripture passages from Genesis and The Book of Amos. In Genesis we are taught that God made man in his own image, "And now we will make human beings; they will be like us and resemble us." Here we understand that if we hurt other people then we are hurting God, so we are responsible for what we do and if we show love towards others then we are caring for God and everyone God made.
