1) Describe the Christian views on racism and write about the life and work of someone who fought against it. (15 MARKS) If we were to look into the views of Christianity it would seem appropriate to firstly review what their holy writings say about the matter. The first scripture to look at in the bible is Luke 10: 25-36, here we read about the illustration of 'The good Samaritan' which was told by Jesus when he was asked 'who is my neighbour?' Several people leave the man on the side of the road because he is of a lower class, but the Samaritan stops and helps the man, showing intense kindness even though the man was a Jew, Jews being sworn enemies of Samaritans.
