... Task 6 Firstly I will describe how equal opportunities of employees are safe guarded by legislation. I will first include a summary of the key purpose of the four relevant acts: Sex Discrimination Act 1975 Sex discrimination was made in 1975 it is an act which makes it illegal for an employer to discriminate against a particular sex for instance, when applying for a job, appointing an employee for a job and many other things. There also exceptions which do not apply to the act for instance, private night club, for example some of the exclusives Gentlemen's night clubs in London or actors, you can't have a woman playing Santa clause. Race Relations Acts 1976 Race relation's makes discrimination on ground of race illegal in the same way as under sex discrimination for instance when applying for a job or making job appointments.
