GCSE Religious Education: Paper 2B Prejudice and Discrimination Coursework Christians would say that it is their duty to eradicate prejudice and discrimination from our society. Do you agree with this statement? Give reasons to support your answer showing that you have considered more than one viewpoint. Christian teaching like the Bible and catechism are against prejudice and discrimination, some may even claim it to be our duty. Unfortunately in theory it is a lot harder for prejudice to be eradicated then discrimination, because prejudice is an attitude and cannot be controlled by laws like discrimination. Although most Christians understand and follow bible teaching some organisations misinterpret passage to back up their own actions an example of such a group would be the Ku Klux Klan. They are a discriminatory group of white Christians who use the bible to back up extreme racism. Thankfully there are laws to remove discrimination but laws cannot govern...
