All my life I have lived with racism. All my life I have been treated differently. I have lived in exile from my peers because of their opinions of my apparent nationality. I spent my last year high school rebelling against racial stereotypes and closed minded people. My journey of emancipation need not be one you have to undertake. I am Josephine Alibrandi and this is my say on Racism. A spade is a spade. It can not change its colour nor its shape. Yet despite its appearance it is still a valid member of the deck. If we were to apply this to our modern day multicultural society, a spade is not only a spade it is many other degrading slang words. If someone says Italian you think wog.
