Select and explain the main features of their places of worship then compare and contrast ways in which the features are used in worship. In the Roman Catholic Church, the main feature of the elaborate building is the altar; this is proudly situated in a position visible from most areas of the Church. It is used for the Holy Communion, a predominant feature of the Roman Catholic Church. In the Baptist Church, the same level of emphasis is not placed upon an Altar, neither on the concept of Holy Communion. Instead of a proud altar, there is a small wooden table. This is used for Communion which, in a Baptist Church only occurs only around once a month whereas in a Roman Catholic Church, Communion takes place as frequently as once a day.
