However if one is to analyse the impact of this principle enshrined in the statement, the full tract must be considered in its entirety. It then needs to be contrasted against contemporary primary sources to draw accurate conclusions. The tract in question is taken from the book 'Essays and Reviews' which was published in 1860. The authors were Anglican churchmen who wrote in the pursuit of theological liberalism. (The general term applied to such intellectuals within the Church of England was that of the 'Broadchurch')....
