The present world is troubled by violence. It seems that violence can occur anywhere in today's community. The increasing violence in our communities marks as indication of our decaying human nation. Mahatma Gandhi was a strong devotee of non-violence and developed his own philosophy on non-violence. In his philosophy, greed, possessiveness, and selfishness are main factors that influence our materialistic and greedy lifestyle. With Gandhi's teachings and actions being learned in our present society, some people today do not only seek materialistic possessions but also compassion, peace and truth.
