I would consider the first heart transplant a miracle and I would also consider life a miracle. This is because of the idea that God creates everything on the earth, and that in itself is a clear miracle. Therefore, yes, miracles do still happen and will continue to do so until the end of the earth. But many people would disagree with my view simply because it is too vague. One reason why many people think that miracles do not occur today is because of a change in the perception of what a miracle is.
