Religious Education Coursework no. 1: Marriage AO1 I think that the most important principles in a marriage are these: - The Golden Rule - Do Not Commit Adultery - Only Worship One God - Honesty - Trust - Permanence - Exclusivity - Fruitfulness "The Golden Rule" states that you should treat others how you would like them to treat you. This is important in a marriage because if you treat your partner badly, then they will treat you badly as well, and then the marriage will be a bad one, and a divorce will probably end up happening. If both people in a marriage keep to the "Golden Rule" then as well as it being a good, trustful relationship, the marriage will probably go on for longer because each partner is treating the other one with respect, so they want to spend more time together. "Do Not Commit Adultery" is important in a marriage because if you do so you will be breaking...
