Marriage Christians see marriage to have three main purposes: * Procreation * Partnership * It is the right environment for a sexual relationship Marriage in the bible is described as the union of two people to create a partnership in the eyes of God. The man is seen to leave his mother and father to be united with his wife. At the marriage ceremony the couple makes vows or promises to each other concerning their life together.
