Divorce I have often wondered why there are so many divorces nowadays. I have a small group of about six friends. Each of our parents has been married, yet only one marriage out of the six has remained. I realise that this is a normal situation for our society today, but why does there seem to be so much conflict so that the so many marriages here end in divorce, when things used to be so different? Before just a couple of decades ago, divorce would only happen under very certain circumstances, and it wasn't 'normal' to be from a family where the parents were divorced. After doing some research I have found out that families aren't really different from how they used to be. The differences are in our society as a whole.
