Euthanasia is taken from the Greek language literally translating as 'happy death. The right to die is the more common phrase used today. Some people in society today may argue that a person should be entitled to die with honour and have the right not to suffer whilst others call it assisted suicide and believe it is wrong to induce death, no matter what the circumstances. There are a number of forms of euthanasia one being passive euthanasia this is the quickening the death of a person by altering or discontinuing some form of support and allowing death to come naturally.
