Euthanasia Euthanasia is described in a medical glossary as " help with a good death. " This is legally vague but useful as a broad, descriptive term for a topic of debate, which has become increasingly controversial. The question I am asking is, even if the termination of one's life is through their own request, and can the said death be considered "a good death?" Euthanasia, also called mercy killing, is an act or practice of painlessly putting to death persons suffering from painful and incurable disease or incapacitating physical disorder. Because there is no specific provision for it in most legal systems it is also accounted as either suicide, where it is performed by the patient, or alternatively as murder, where it is performed by another.
