Amrit Dulkoan 20th January 2001 'God gives life and Only God can give it away' I agree with this statement. From the Bible we learn that our life is sacred, because we are made in the image of God, (Genesis 1:27) and that God in the very beginning created us. Also God is a figure we look upto and because he created us, he should have the right to end us. It's like when a child builds something, say with toy bricks, and another child comes along knocking his work down. Surely we would see that as being unfair. And so to end someone's life by capital punishment would not be right either. That person may have murdered someone else and yes that was wrong but if we end that persons life by capital punishment then we as a society are showing hypocrisy, because we ourselves are murdering.
