Robert Hicks Identify and Critically Contrast Two Philosophical Approaches to the Possibilities of Life after Death I will be looking at and critically contrasting the arguments of Materialism and Dualism. This will be done through the eyes of someone who has changed his beliefs, and has more of a spiritualist view on life after death at this current time. Plato was a Dualist and his belief was that life and death goes in cycles, so therefore he reasoned that the soul would return to life again. He believed that all things go in cycles, so life and death go in cycles, therefore it would follow that after death comes life again. I believe in life after death but I'm not so sure about the cycle aspect?
