R.E Coursework-Part C- 'Death is God's business and people should not interfere' In my view, euthanasia,abortion and suicide are the most controversial topics faced by the world today.Different people hold different oppinions about these topics and in this coursework I will explain as many of these views as possible. The word 'euthanasia' is derived from the Greek word for 'easy death'.Euthanasia is commonly referred to as 'mercy killing' as it is seen as an easy option of escape from pain and suffering. Euthanasia is when someone deliberately lets or helps an ill person die. There are 5 variations of euthanasia.These are; voluntary, involuntary, passive, active and compulsory euthanasia.Christians believe that all types of euthanasia are wrong and go against the will of God.In the Bible it says; "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb"(psalm 139).
