Christians believe in the sanctity of life. This means that God created each life in his own image and therefore every life should be valued as much as another human being whether it is a newly conceived foetus or a fully developed adult. For this reason the Roman Catholic Church actually forbid abortion and have the view that if you fall pregnant by mistake then you should suffer the consequences and not pay a doctor to remove the "problem" as they see their unborn child. I think we must ask ourselves why the unborn child should suffer because of neglect on their potential parent behalf. After all if the adult consented to sex then they also consented and should accept responsibility for any chance of conceiving during sexual intercourse.
