In Christianity the topic of abortion seems to be a very controversial subject, as it seems that different denominations have different and contradicting views. There are many different teachings about abortion. The older teachings usually are "pro-life" and the more modern teachings are often "pro-choice". A Christian will normally have the view that his denomination has on abortion. A statement from the Roman Catholic Church said, " life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception; abortion and infanticide are the most abominable of crimes". This is showing their views on abortion. It clearly outlines that most of the Roman Catholics are anti-abortion or 'pro-life'.
