Christians believe that life begins at conception and not birth. The unborn baby has the potential to become a child. The sixth commandment says, "Thou shalt not kill." Christians believe that committing murder is a sin, even if the child hasn't been born yet it is still murder and therefore a sin. Some Christians feel they have a responsibility to be active in the prevention of abortion. Pro-life groups feel it is their responsibility to educate and stop others from having abortions. They do this by expressing their opinions on the internet and in magazines and newsletters. Some Christians also stand outside abortion clinics and try to persuade people entering the clinics not to have an abortion.
