Ross Cleverly 2004-10-10 Compare and contrast BY-LOW and Early Morning Feed. Q: Compare and contrast BY-LOW and Early Morning Feed. In this essay i will compare and contrast "BY-LOW", a fithteenth century anonymous poem and "Early Morning feed", a modern poem by peter Redgrove Both poems are similar because they are about childcare and only have one parent. They are different because "BY-LOW" is written about a mother caring for a child and she is focused on the baby but in "Early Morning Feed" the father is caring for the child but is focused on other things trying not to give the baby the power. In the first stanza of "Early Morning Feed" Redgrove shows that he loves the child very much by using verbs such ar "darts" which showes his usgency and "listen" which shows how conshouse he is of the baby'e welfare.
