James Cross 10s Abortion is the ending of pregnancy before birth. It can occur naturally for many reasons and is then known as a 'miscarriage'. If a pregnancy is ended deliberately then it's called 'procured abortion.' The Christians turn to the bible for their teaching on abortion but the bibles don't actually contain anything about abortion. The Didache, which is a Christian handbook, which was about 100AD, condemns abortion as murder. Even though the bible doesn't have anything specifically on abortion it does contain passages about the value of life: Psalm 139; "You created every part of me, you put me together in my mother's womb." Christians therefore believe that life is a very sacred gift from God. "The days allotted to me had all been recorded in your book before any of them every began."
