There are two types of abortion: Procured abortion and spontaneous abortion. Procured is when the foetus is deliberately terminated, with the involvement of a Doctor to carry it out, whereas a spontaneous abortion is when the feotus is unexpectedly expelled through a miscarriage. There are several reasons why a mother would choose to have her child aborted.
