Recent Reviews of Sikhism Essays

What our users think of the Sikhism essays in this section:

"The piece started off weak with it's ignorant views of other religions (especially Hinduism) which the author saw as wrong in areas that Sikhism is said to be strong. This suggests to me as being a rather biased view and a taste of the past and on-going conflict between Hinduism and Sikhism. The piece was a little arrogant as well in places at the start and a touch boastful. The author commented how "one of the main beliefs of Sikhism is that everybody should be treated equally. They believe that all religions are just different paths to the same religious enlightenment" and then contradicted Sikhism - if the author was sikh and him/herself by writing "unlike some other religions who believe that their religion is the only right one." On one hand stating the beliefs of Sikhism and then put them to one side by blatantly and ignorantly critising other religions (such as Hinduism) as being flawed. Yet, as the assignment reached the last half it started to improve and take a more neutral, unbiased and mature view of thought and Sikhism, as well as it's aims, beliefs and possible flaws. It started to take the mould of a critique and was becoming interesting and intelligent in this style of writing. It's a shame this was not continued further or started earlier as the piece would then possibly have achieved a good balance earlier on and thus would then have been worthy of the 4 stars that were given to it. Thankyou."
