Outline Christian Teachings on wealth and poverty. Christianity teaches wealth can be used for good (charity) and bad (as it can lead to a person being greedy). People believe that wealth is a gift from God, to be used to help everyone because God created everyone to be equal. Wealth can only be gained in a lawful and correct way. People should not earn money by being involved in the sex trade or gambling. This is because it is not right or lawful. Christianity makes it clear that happiness cannot be bought. "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions." Christians believe they will be judged on what they do with their wealth.
