Describe Christian teachings in which believers should treat people who are less fortunate than themselves. Food, water and shelter are the three most important basic needs for human survival, although many people nowadays believe these things come as standard and they are much more worried about having the latest electrical equipment. However, many people are not that lucky and do not have the access to many things we take for granted, these people generally live south of the border, hence the term north/south divide. A person's place of birth has a big impact on their life, growing up in a less economically developed country (LEDC) would make the person more likely to be living in poverty when they are older, the cycle continues. Unless well paid jobs can be introduced in the near future to the LEDC's there will be no solution to the poverty that currently exists. People who live...
