Baptism is a very important sacrament to receive, we receive the holy sacrament and are made full members of the Church. For the baptism to take place, there must be a hope that the child will be raised in the catholic religion. The ceremony is a symbol of journey, parents move around the church symbolising the infants faith journey through life. The ceremony begins at the door, this represents the child entry into the church, the Priest then asks, "What do you want for this child?" the parents then reply "Baptism", this symbolises the parents taking responsibility. The child's name is then chosen, usually a saints name as the parents want the infant to reflect the Saints personal qualities, but this is not always the case. The parents and God
