Louise Trump Buddhism was started by the Buddha, Siddhatta Gotoma. He became enlightened and started a life of teaching. His teachings are called the Dharma. Some of his most important teachings are the everything changes, we all change and we all suffer. The Buddha starved himself because he believed that if you starved yourself, your body becomes less important to you. He realised that this didn't help and said that the cause of suffering, is to divine the meaning of the wish to live and posses various things. When he was enlightened, he wanted his experience to be passed onto others. He spent the rest of his life teaching people the right ways to live. 1. The three marks of existence are Annica, Anatta and Dukkha. Annica means nothing lasts forever and everything changes. Anatta means no self, no- one can exist separately from others.
