Recent Reviews of Religions Essays
What our users think of the Religions essays in this section:
"This short piece of writing is a good revision tool for your RE exam, and states all the main information which is needed. The introduction is detailed, and shows that you understand the topic. Your have outlined the main process of Baptism, and what exactly happens during the sacrament. Also, you have defined each of the symbols used, and shown what they really mean during the sacrament. There is only one reference to the Bible, so maybe you could have used quotes to explore where exactly Baptism orginated from.

"Good attempt at outlining what Christmas means to Christians. You have written the basic information about Christian beliefs, which is probably all you need for the exam. It is a little on the short side, so you could have developed some of your points. To make this writing a bit more interesting, you could include your opinion on what Christmas means, and use statistics to actually find out whether Christians nowadays do see it as a holy festival.

"You have included a very informative introduction, which defines 'Baptism' and also outlines the main process in a fair amount of detail. The explainations of the different symbols used in baptism is excellent, and this shows that you understand exactly what is going on during the sacrament. Also, outlining the different ways in which Baptism is celebrated is very useful for your exam and it shows some information about other faiths. Your writing is very formal and shows a bit of sophistication, which is excellent. Overall, it is a little short in length, but it explores the main points about Baptism and would be a great revision tool.

"Good, clear introduction with relevant information. You have retold the story nicely and all the needed details are included - however I'm not too sure whether you actually needed to retell it. Many good points are made, regarding how people nowadays view the holiday, and whether they actually think of it as religious. Maybe including some facts and figures would have made the writing a bit more persuasive.

"Some very good insight into the meaning of Baptism, and some interesting points are brought up. You have also outlined some reasons as to why Baptism is important to Catholics, and some other faith groups. You have used appropriate quotes from the Bible, which aid you in your explainations. Obviously, this is not an essay, and therefore the length is not too important, but some of your paragraphs could have been developed slightly more, just to add some extra detail.
