'There is no such thing as a soul, it is a concept made up by religions.' In my personal opinion, I don't know whether I believe this is true and false, depending on your personal beliefs. There is no sure way of knowing, but I truly believe that a soul exists in anyone who believes they have a soul. This can be named anything, be it atman or soul, but it is still the same part of you. The Vedas defines the atman (soul) as: The breath; the principle of life and sensation." The soul in its entirety - as the soul body (anandamaya kosha) and its essence (Parashakti and Parasiva).
