Ethical Issues Relating To Giles Tane selling T.V to Mrs Samuels There are a number of ethical theories which can be used in relation to the case of Giles Tane. I am applying the following: * Ethics of Care * Kantianism * Utilitarianism * Virtue ethics Firstly Mr Tane could, out of kindness, purchase the T.V himself for Mrs. Samuels. As Mrs Tane has a very close relationship with Mrs Samuels it seems that this would be a very appropriate action to take. "Taking care of others is the core notion, and it is modelled on relationships such as those between parent and child" (Beauchamp and Childress, 1994, p.86). However, this may a loss in financial terms for Mr Tane but in a "love and friendship" sense, he can only be admired.
