What Problems did the Weimar Government face up to 1928? The Weimar Government faced many problems up to 1928, many of these problems stemmed from the treaty of Versailles. The problems can be categorised into economic and political. The economic problems which the Weimar Government faced seemed to be mostly due to the treat of Versailles and the reparations that Germany was forced to pay because they lost the war. These reparations did ruin the economy and led onto the many other economic problems that the government had to face. One of these was the problem of hyperinflation; this came about because the German government in a hope to pay off the reparations decided to print more money. Because there was an over abundance of money its value decreased which wrecked a lot of the ready unstable middle classes savings so that they where worthless. This in itself lost support for the...
