About GCSE Politics

GCSE Politics as a single subject seems to be a rare thing at the moment although there are attempts being made to re introduce it. Many of the subjects in GCSE Politics are now covered in Citizenship courses.

Why Study GCSE Politics?

GCSE Politics introduces you to the background behind subjects that make the news headlines. Elections, environmental issues, the role of MPs and the powers of Barrack Obama can all be part of your studies.

GCSE Politics: What Will I Study?

The main area of study for GCSE Politics is the political system of the UK, how Parliament works, how laws are made and how the government is formed. You may also look at pressure groups, the English legal system or UK political history. Quite often GCSE Politics courses involve comparing the UK with other countries (usually the USA).

GCSE Politics... What Can I Study Next?

The obvious next step would be a Politics A Level. Politics is also a popular degree level subject, often combined with economics, sociology or history.

"Possibly the only issue is the indentation at the start of paragraphs! The author has captured the key points marvellously and has expanded on them to create an excellent essay. TSR User:vector"

"Very clear and very informative. Almost every aspect of the topic and question is covered with more than enough information on each key point."

"Ill-informed and totaly biased. The title should of said "Do not let the BNP make Party Political Broadcasts". It seemed that the writer was informing not asking with some of the "facts" that they were presenting being either wrong or half truths. They then go on to summerise that the electorate were brain dead sheep and would vote for the BNP because they had been brain-washed"
