About GCSE Politics
GCSE Politics as a single subject seems to be a rare thing at the moment although there are attempts being made to re introduce it. Many of the subjects in GCSE Politics are now covered in Citizenship courses.
Why Study GCSE Politics?
GCSE Politics introduces you to the background behind subjects that make the news headlines. Elections, environmental issues, the role of MPs and the powers of Barrack Obama can all be part of your studies.
GCSE Politics: What Will I Study?
The main area of study for GCSE Politics is the political system of the UK, how Parliament works, how laws are made and how the government is formed. You may also look at pressure groups, the English legal system or UK political history. Quite often GCSE Politics courses involve comparing the UK with other countries (usually the USA).
GCSE Politics... What Can I Study Next?
The obvious next step would be a Politics A Level. Politics is also a popular degree level subject, often combined with economics, sociology or history.
