"Thirteen wasted years" how far is this verdict true of the conservatives government between 1951 to 1968 13 wasted years is a condemnation from the Labour government particularly aimed at the tostop/ go policies which the conservatives had held the past thirteen years. Successive chancellors had maintained the stop/go policies which had inability to sustain economic growth but showed short term economic errors but also misjudgement. The thirteen year wasted statement from Wilson can be arguable, as the conservative during that period did have some success with the three prime ministers of the time which are Churchill, Eden and McMillan. The economic growth is a very complex matter it is very hard to judge, what could you compare it to in order to measure the success, could you campare it to predecessors or with successors or even other industrial countries who have been in similar situations such as Germany and Japan who...
