"Party time" is a film set in the nineties it is set at a party with the viewer eavesdropping on various conversations. It is an example of how importance was placed on class by society. There are 15 individual characters in the film, which are split into 2 classes, the elders who are in the upper class and the youngsters in the middle class. An example of how class effected the conversation is shown in the film with Gavin aged fifty talking to Terry aged forty. They are having a conversation on how barbers used to put hot towels on your face. Terry was able to join in the conversation but did not possess the same amount of knowledge as Gavin; there was a 10 year age gap between them. To prevent any of the younger characters contributing to the conversation, Terry makes sure they are not given the time...
