Public Policy "The supremacy of states has been challenged in recent years by international organizations. Through various examples show how this is happening and how different organizations are exerting their influences on states." Non-Government Organizations, also known as NGOs, are a group of individuals who act together for a specific purpose. The organization itself is considered to be an NGO as it is independent from the government, its goals are not to challenge the government, make profit or perform illegal activities. An NGO can be national agency that is operating within the country or international, meaning the organization owns branches in different countries. These organizations play an important role in the world these days. Many are aid providers, such as CARE (Cooperative for American Remittances Everywhere), others such as Greenpeace are campaigners.
