DRINK-DRIVING This time of year AGAIN! Many people will be enjoying the seasonal festivities, but many are doing so from a hospital bed or even worst a "Mortuary". I know that this is the worst-case scenario of drink driving, but it's true. The statistics released by Lancashire police show a 27% increase in the number of people arrested for drink driving over the Christmas period. From the 26 November until Christmas 1,100 people were arrested for drink driving out of 2,700 who had been breathalysed. These figures definitely show cause for concern. As a drive myself, I have at times put under enormous pressure from other people who have said, "Oh, it will be alright, you have only had one drink". These are the famous last words.
