Communism vs. Democracy Communism is a theory of government in which the people are all considered equal. The government owns the business and pays equal wages to all, which stymie the economic growth. Democracy, a political system contrary to communism, admits the private ownership of business allowing the formation of large companies which can impair the fair process of the law. Communist and democratic forms of government are very different from each other. As they both have their own benefits and disadvantages, people continuously argue over the superior choice. However, regarding the current situation of government as a whole democracy, the political system based upon the acknowledgement of people's own properties and freedom, is a better for of governmental system than communism. One of the major differences between a communist and democratic government is their contrary economic system.
